L’as du Fallafel 4th

Located in the heart of the Paris Jewish quarter is L’as du Fallafel. It may not be listed in the Michelin guide, but it is a super popular spot here in Paris. Before our trip my Chef friend Isabel Cruz recommended this place to us and I’m glad she did. On the left of the restaurant is a take out window which draws a long line of patrons day and night. We dined in and were lucky to get a table right away. Our server let us know that since it’s Passover the menu was limited and they were not serving beer. We ordered the roasted eggplant, the Merguez sausage and the fallafel platter. Instead of the warm pita bread we received a basket of matzo crackers. Everything was delicious. The fallafel were the best I’ve had. With dinner I had a 1/4 bottle of Kosher rose wine. We plan on returning again after Passover.
